In 2016, I decided to combine my work as a professional ornithologist with birdwatching guiding. While working for the Albanian BirdLife Partner at the time, one of my main goals was to promote birdwatching tourism in Albania as a conservation strategy. The idea was to highlight the value of natural ecosystems and raise awareness among local stakeholders about the benefits of preserving them. By protecting these habitats and using them sustainably, we could also generate economic opportunities, as visiting birdwatchers would contribute to the local economy by purchasing services. In 2019, I officially opened Birding Albania Tour Agency, as the first Birding Tour Agency in Albania or the First Albanian Birding Tour Agency. Tom Cook, was the first client of this tour agency. A UK folk, that now is a very good friend of mine, who has encouraged me continuously. On this first tour he prepared a report as a support for my work.
